Control Panels USA is seeking a Safety & Training Manager to join our growing team. The Safety & Training Manager will lead CP USA’s safety, training, fleet, and facility maintenance programs. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining safety policies, managing employee training programs, supporting regulatory compliance, overseeing inspections, and driving continuous improvement in workplace safety. The Safety & Training Manager works closely with management, supervisors, and employees to promote a strong safety culture, reduce risk, and ensure accurate documentation of training and compliance activities.

Our regular work schedule is M-F 8AM-4:30PM with some overtime opportunities as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead, develop, and manage CP USA’s safety and training programs to support operational goals, employee development, and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with management to identify training needs, establish priorities, determine training frequency, and ensure required topics are completed on schedule.
  • Research, interpret, and monitor applicable OSHA and safety requirements, and ensure employees are trained in relevant standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Create, update, and maintain training materials, class syllabi, agendas, presentations, standard operating procedures, templates, logs, and safety documentation.
  • Schedule and conduct training sessions for appropriate employee groups, ensuring attendance, completion records, and follow-up actions are accurately documented.
  • Manage and maintain the company training matrix to track required training, completed courses, renewal dates, and compliance gaps.
  • Create, assign, monitor, and update employee training modules in Paycom to support onboarding, compliance, recurring safety requirements, and ongoing employee development.
  • Conduct or coordinate jobsite safety assessments, pre-bid risk assessments, and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Oversee safety inspection processes and ensure inspections are completed timely by the appropriate personnel or inspectors.
  • Communicate safety expectations, corrective actions, and compliance updates to management, supervisors, and employees.
  • Manage fleet vehicle maintenance, including routine inspections, service schedules, documentation, and repair coordination.
  • Oversee facility maintenance by coordinating preventative and corrective maintenance, managing vendors, and ensuring issues are resolved timely.
  • Prepare reports and updates for management regarding training status, safety compliance, inspections, incidents, risks, and improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties, assignments, or projects as requested by management.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety, training, operations, construction, industrial services, or a related field; prior leadership or program management experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements, workplace safety practices, hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident prevention.
  • Experience developing and delivering training programs for adult learners, including classroom, field, and jobsite training.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate across departments, follow up on corrective actions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and training or tracking documentation systems.
  • OSHA certification or related safety credential preferred.
